This resolution sets forth the rule for consideration of H.R. 1620 (Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2021), H.R. 6 (American Dream and Promise Act of 2021), H.R. 1603 (Farm Workforce Modernization Act of 2021), H.R. 1868 (preventing across-the-board direct spending cuts), and H.J.Res. 17 (removing the deadline for the ratification of the equal rights amendment).
In addition, this resolution adopts H.Res. 232 (providing for an affirmative majority vote of Members and a quorum being present for final passage of H.J.Res. 17).
Finally, during the 117th Congress and beginning on April 23, 2021, this resolution eliminates requirements of Rule X (Organization of Committees) of the Rules of the House of Representatives that beginning at noon on January 3 and ending at midnight on March 31 in each odd-numbered year funds shall be paid out of the House committee salary and expense accounts for continuance of necessary investigations and studies by (1) each standing and select committee established by House rules, and (2) certain select committees established by resolution.
