FAQ/Contact Us

What is the new DonorTrail and how is it different than the Fort Collins Ale Trail (FCAT)?

DonorTrail is a completely new application. We designed the FCAT as our proof of concept and DonorTrail is where we were always heading. DonorTrail has great new functionality including:

  • Multiple Trails: We are going to expand the number of Trails available to you both in Colorado and across the country (and even the world!). Stay tuned and look south to Loveland and Boulder in the near future where you can purchase a Trail Pass and hike those Trails as well.
  • Multiple Trail Passes: You can now purchase multiple Trail Passes for a Trail. This way, if you have friends coming in to town you can buy another to join them on their Trail and work your way thru multiple Hikes.
  • Partner-specific Offers: Many of our Partners have agreed to expand their Donation Coupon to provide more value. Our Trail Pass is now valued at over $100! Offers may include:
    • 2 for 1 for your first beer
    • 2 for 1 for your first 4-pack
    • Discounts off your first beer
    • Discounts off merchandise
What’s the difference between the Free Version & buying a Trail Pass?

Free portion of the app has a map and info on participating local breweries.

Purchasing a Trial Pass provides:

  • Receive A Donation Coupon which is specific to each Brewery. Most are 2 for 1's on your first visit, and the current value of the coupons is over $100.
  • Automatically track trail progress
  • Win cool prizes when you visit 10 breweries and again when you visit them all
  • All net proceeds go to the beneficiary which you choose

Why do I have to give my phone number and email address when signing up?

We use your phone number to text a code when signing in. We found it much easier for our hikers than requiring a password. We use your email address to send updates and great information about the Fort Collins Ale Trail. You can always opt out of emails using unsubscribe in any email sent. All your information is confidential and is not provided to anyone.

What Breweries are on the trail?

Your hike on the trail includes over 20 Breweries & Pubs. More Breweries are being added so this number may change, we will cap it at 30. If you have a favorite Brewery that’s not on the Trail, let us know, talk to them… we’d love to get all Fort Collins Breweries on the trail!

A Passcode is only usable once and once it is activated, it belongs to the Hiker who activated it.

How does Checkin Work?

Once you’re at the brewery, checkin identifies that you’re at the brewery and helps track use of the Trail Pass. It also signals the next step of stamping the Trail Pass and getting your “Donation Discount”.

How does the Trail Pass work?

On your first visit with the App, first check-in, then show the Brewery you’re ready to Stamp your Trail Pass. Show them the screen, confirm they see it, then you can press “Stamp”. Confirm it’s stamped and get your “Donation Discount”. Now you’re on your way to earning a prize!

How long does the Trail Pass last?

The Trail Pass is valid for 12 months from the date it becomes active. We encourage Hikers to take your time to Hike the Trail and please drink responsibly. Remember, it’s the journey, not the destination!

How do I get the discount?

After the brewery stamps your Trail Pass you’ll see the Brewery Offering (ex. “$1 Off, 2 for 1, etc.). Confirm they see the page and you can receive your “Donation Coupon”.

What is the Donation Coupon?

Please thank the Brewery!!! It’s because of their generosity in providing this coupon for your first beer via your Trail Pass that we’re able to impact our community and the world in Beer Drinking Philanthropy!
